How to Chase a Referral to a Hospital Specialist, or a Hospital Appointment or Operation Date?
We are sorry that NHS waiting times can be very long. We appreciate this must be very difficult and frustrating, particularly if you are being significantly affected by your symptoms. Unfortunately, GPs have no control over hospital waiting times, and the urgency of your appointment will be decided by a hospital consultant.
If you feel that your symptoms have significantly changed or deteriorated since your referral was made, then please book a GP appointment or contact Reception on 0121 628 2345, so we can reassess you and update the hospital.
