The main symptoms of coronavirus now include loss or change to your sense of smell or taste, in addition to a high temperature and/or a new, continuous cough.

The Government has issued new guidance on what we must all do to control the coronavirus outbreak:
- Stay at home as much as possible
- Work from home if you can
- Limit contact with other people and keep you distance if you go out (2 metres apart where possible)
- Wash your hands regularly
- Do not leave your home if you or anyone in your household has symptoms
If you have symptoms of coronavirus (a high temperature, a new continuous cough and/or loss or change to your sense of smell of taste), do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.
The criteria for applying for a coronavirus test have been broadened.
Visit to our coronavirus webpage for more information.

Most patients who are at high risk of getting seriously ill due to coronavirus will have received a letter from NHS England or their hospital specialist, with advice about ‘shielding’.
We have reviewed all our patients’ medical records to determine who is and who is not at high risk of getting seriously ill from coronavirus. We have sent a shielding letter to any additional patients who we feel are at high risk, and we have written to any patients who we feel no longer require shielding. Please contact Reception on 0121 628 2345 if you think you should have received a shielding letter, but have not.
If you have received a ‘shielding’ letter, you should continue to self-isolate at home until at least 30th June 2020.
