As of 2 October 2022, 43 confirmed cases (9 deaths) and 20 probable cases (all deceased) have been reported from 5 districts of Uganda: Mubende and Kassanda districts in Central Region, and Bunyangabu, Kagadi and Kyegegwa districts in Western Region, Uganda.
If you have recently travelled from (or in contact with someone who has travelled from) the above region AND are experiencing following symptoms, please contact us or 111 straightaway. Please do not come to the surgery in such situation.
Typical symptoms: Fever, tiredness, myalgia, and headaches. These symptoms may progress to include rash, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and abdominal pain.
