Flu Vaccinations
Flu vaccination is recommended for those who are most at risk of serious complications if they get flu. This includes adults aged 65 years and over, pregnant women and those with certain long-term health conditions. Flu can be a serious illness in these people and the vaccine offers the best protection.
This year, most eligible adults will be offered a flu vaccine in October or November, because the latest scientific data shows this offers the best protection for most people. However, pregnant women, children and patients in certain special circumstances are being offered the vaccine from September.
We are contacting all eligible patients to book a flu vaccination appointment at an appropriate time. If you think you are eligible, please wait to contacted.
Most school-aged children will be vaccinated by theĀ Birmingham Community Healthcare immunisation team, not by Wychall Lane Surgery, and parents will be contacted directly by them.
